A New Day

Taking a look at all of the things I've been missing

Use It – May

It’s officially June… oh my!! I hope you have been enjoying some beautiful spring weather wherever you are!

The last month seemed like non-stop travel, so time at home was rare, but incredibly welcome. I didn’t accomplish a lot on the “using it” goal, but I also was forced to scale back my purchases. If I’m not home to use a full-size product, do I really need it? And no, that does not justify purchasing a travel size. A new eyeliner, however DOES travel well… right? Oops.

So here we go – top to bottom, left to right.

 – Nivea Sun-Kissed Radiant Skin – this is my favorite gradual tanning lotion. I think I’ve established that I’m fairly translucent and do not (nor do I try to) tan. This gives me a nice subtle color without making my skin look dirty. I only use it on my legs and it consistently provides an even color without streaking. The scent is nice and sort of citrusy (?), where some lotions have a really weird chemical/fake coconut smell. This has already been repurchased!

 – Caldrea Ginger Pomello Hand Soap – yummy! This was a Birchbox sample from forever ago and I finally gave it a go. Too many people complain about foil packets, but this had so much product in it. The smell was fresh and crisp and stayed on my skin long after washing my hands. I liked this, but don’t know if I would make the splurge for the full size.

 – Mary Kay Oil-Free Makeup Remover – so sad to see this go. The product is divided, so shake a few times to mix and put on cotton and swipe away eye makeup. This remover is super gentle and removes every single type of eyeliner I’ve thrown at it. I’m trying something else right now, but will probably go back to this.

– benefit Bad Gal mascara – Oh benefit… this is a consistently good mascara. It never flakes and a couple swipes thicken my lashes and really make my eyes pop. This has been a long-time favorite.

What did you use up this month? Did you love/hate it?
