A New Day

Taking a look at all of the things I've been missing

Use It – April

on May 4, 2014

How is it already May? Good grief…. 2014 is flying! I hope you had a wonderful April!

This was a slow month in using up some of the product stash. So I guess that means that May is going to be better, right? That’s what I am telling myself and the Mr. at least…

Here we go:

Archipelago Excursion Collection Candle in Tuscany – I’ve had this candle forever… It has a 60-hour burn time and it is recommended that it is not burned for more than 3 hours at a time. It did burn unevenly, leaving a lot of wax on the sides. I’m unsure why that happened.. This blend of sweet basil, cilantro and rosemary is very strong – something you may not be in the mood for on a daily basis. I did love it though… I’m sorry to see this one go!

Batiste Dry Shampoo: Cool & Crisp Fresh – ah, my go-to drugstore brand dry shampoo. You can read my ode to dry shampoo here.

benefit Stay Flawless 15-Hour Primer – I loved this. Primer is so hit or miss for me and I would absolutely buy this again. This can be applied with a brush or by applying the stick directly to the skin. It has a nice, cooling sensation as its applied. I found this works best if applied in sections – apply the foundation while the area is still damp with primer and then move on to the next section. Once the combination of primer and foundation dries, set with powder and it really will stay put all day. I was really sad to say good bye to this one!

The Body Shop Body Butter in Cranberry Joy – This is one of my favorite winter scents… and it is finally no longer WINTER! I finished this up a couple weeks ago and just in time. One – it’s finally spring and two – I was starting to get tired of it. Its very sugary… again, great for colder months.

What did you finish up this month?

Ha! I could probably give you tons of Cranberry Joy – I bought like 3-4 gift sets at the end of holiday season a couple years ago!
