Barre arrrrgh

Yes, I spelled that correctly. I’ve been taking barre class now for a while and have a love-hate relationship with this, as I do most workouts. I started taking classes today at Barre Pose studio today and survived my first 60 min class. Until today I had been taking 30 min sessions at my gym and while they are intense, I definitely felt the burn and fatigue today. I do think my posture has improved, as well as my quad strength…. I will be able to crush rocks with them soon. Drink tons of water after class… you’ll need it.

  1. I’ve always wanted to try that! I’ve recently gotten back into ballet for the first time since a little girl but want to try like a cardio barre class. Do you like the results? Does it feel like a good workout?

      I always feel a good barre workout the next day… usually it has something to do with a muscle in my rear.. I have to say though, the isolation movements really help you focus on proper stance and specific muscle groups. I’m pretty pleased with the results and that I can see change after just a couple sessions.
